Massage Therapy in
Portland, OR
“Mindy’s knowledge of anatomy is immediately tangible as a client. Her hands have a wisdom you can feel.”
A dancer who becomes a massage therapist brings something to the table that cannot be learned in a classroom: the felt experience of how a human body is designed to move, what it feels like when it is restricted, and what it feels like when it opens. Mindy’s hands have a wisdom you can feel.
What sets Mindy apart
Movement is Mindy’s first language
Before becoming an LMT, I spent years as a professional dancer. That's decades of studying how a body holds tension, finds balance, and tells the truth about what it's been carrying. It informs everything about how I approach my work.
After 30+ years of experience on the table, the offering becomes less about technique and more about presence. Here's what makes this practice unique.
Trained in motion, refined on the table
In addition to the traditional learning of anatomy and the body from textbooks, I learned it from thirty years of professional dance, every line, every release, every compensation pattern, lived from the inside out. That perspective is what you feel the moment the session begins.
A space intentionally built for you
This Sellwood studio has been my home for ten years, and it was designed around a desire for you to not feel rushed, watched, or processed. With soft and natural light, plants, uncluttered simplicity and quiet comfort, the room itself does some of the healing. (along with a washroom in the treatment room!)
Over 30 Years of Learning & Practicing
I opened my Chicago practice in 1998 and have continued evolving ever since. Most of my clients have been with me for years because the work keeps deepening, and that depth is what they keep coming back for.
The session that has a lasting impact.

Clinical, intuitive bodywork designed entirely around what your body brings that day. Drawing from Myofascial Therapy, Structural Integration, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Table Thai, Swedish and Sports Massage, Mindy follows the connective tissue where it leads, no set routine, no cookie-cutter approach. Decades as a professional dancer combined with 27 years of clinical training inform every decision her hands make. A thorough session where specificity and connectivity converge. You leave feeling different, not just relaxed.
This is for you if...
You carry chronic tension that hasn’t fully resolved despite receiving previous treatments
You want someone who can connect with you and explain what is happening in your body and why
You’re done with cookie-cutter massages and want a session designed entirely around what your body brings that day
You want a therapist who remembers your history, adapts to your patterns, and builds on the work session by session
The experience…
You feel completely at peace and comfortable in a carefully crafted and serene environment. Mindy begins by listening to your words, your posture, and the patterns your body has been carrying. She facilitates every session as a response to the body in front of her, informed by 27 years of clinical practice and a deep, holistic understanding of movement. Mindy holds space and adjusts to your needs throughout the session with keen presence so that you can completely relax and find the ease your body is meant to experience.
After your session
You leave feeling grounded, unwound, rejuvenated and better than you were when you arrived. The pattern that brought you in has shifted. You understand something about your own body you didn’t before. You rebook because you felt the difference.
On-Site Massage
Bring it to your team, your event, your people
Chair or table massage for offices, retreats, weddings, and gatherings of all sizes. Every event is custom, so let's talk it through. Contact Mindy for more information.

Bring real recovery into the workday. I set up a quiet corner in your office and rotate your team through 10 or 15-minute chair sessions, neck, shoulders, back, the places a desk chews up by Wednesday. People leave the chair softer, and the rest of the day moves differently because of it.
-
Retreats run on a different kind of energy, and the body needs a place to land in the middle of all that opening. I travel to your retreat space, table or chair, and offer sessions between workshops, after long days, or as part of the program itself. Tell me the shape of your retreat and I'll build the bodywork around it.

Weddings, performances, photo shoots, milestone parties, anywhere a group needs to feel cared for in a way that's a little out of the ordinary. Chair massage works beautifully for guests in motion; table sessions work for the bride, the artist, the host who needs ten minutes of quiet before the day begins. Custom every time.
